Great dogs need care, attention, and great training. We’ve partnered with Samuel Steinmetz & Not the Breed – People Training for Dogs to provide a trusted referral for our adopters and fosters alike. He describes his services as a force free, positive reinforcement training program for dogs of all ages, behavioral issues, and breeds. We love how great he is with our dogs and our owners when it comes from the passion he has for our mission and for the underdog!

Canis Integrated Training
For years, KC Singleton with Canis Integrated Training has been an incredible resource for Take Paws Rescue, helping us navigate everything from fearful dogs needing confidence to more complex behavioral cases. His knowledge, patience, and understanding have helped many dogs become calmer, safer, and more successful in adoptive homes.
Canis Integrated Training is a local, minority-owned and operated dog psychology and training center based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their certified trainers and behaviorists specialize in obedience, behavior modification, rescue dog acclimation, therapy dog foundations, and more.
Using the Pack Order Training method founded by KC Singleton, they provide training for dogs of all breeds, ages, and skill levels — from puppies to advanced obedience — with both facility-based and in-home training options available.
